The Paisley Notebook and QB Gelato Team Up For Mother's Day Dinner
On Saturday, May 12, The Paisley Notebook and QB Gelato are joining forces for a special children’s cooking class to mark Mother’s Day. Hosted at QB Gelato in the Landmark District (opposite Landmark Building 2), ‘P.S. I Love You’ will include a 3-hour cooking experience where Mother’s are treated to a home cooked meal lovingly produced by their child.
Inspired by an interactive Mother/Child cooking class hosted by Poppadoms in 2014, Aman Dosanj, Victor Laderoute and Kevin Bojda will guide and mentor a group of up to 12 children aged 7 to 13 through seasonally-inspired recipes that introduce the concept of seasonality and share their love for the Okanagan. The hands-on cooking class will include shaking up a mocktail (with alcoholic version for adults), Indian-inspired recipes and a gelato making demonstration. Under supervision, the young adults will be hands-on during the class and will serve their parent(s) their collaborative creations.
The collaboration will take place on Saturday, May 12 between 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at QB Gelato (1884 Dayton Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 7W6). The evening includes welcome cocktail/mocktail and snacks, dinner, and will feature a cash bar with Okanagan/BC VQA wines. The experience costs $100 (plus taxes) per Mother/child couple. Class is kept to a maximum of 24 guests with 12 children and 12 adults and lasts approximately 3-hours.
Space is limited, so early reservations are recommended. For more information on The Paisley Notebook, see paisleynotebook.com.
