AFFOGATO ... DROWN ME IN THIS ANYDAY

Affogato translates to ‘drowned’ in Italian. And in this case, it is a good thing.  

QB Gelato uses Canoe Coffee Roasters DUG OUT Espresso to make the perfect Affogato.

A scoop of gelato is poured over, or drowned, with a shot of espresso. The result is a heavenly hot and cold eating experience and, if you don’t eat it fast enough, no fear, you are left with a perfectly creamy puddle of espresso. 


QB Gelato owners Kevin Bojda and Victor Laderoute are gelato artisans and make their delicious range of gelato from scratch. And they have Affogatos! Made with local Canoe Coffee, these are a treat. I love the pistachio gelato in my Affogato, but Kevin pointed out last time that Straciatella with bits of melted dark chocolate is particularly good in a morning Affogato. Mmmm morning Affogato, I like the sound of that.



More than a gelato maestro, Victor is also an incredible chef and they offer a daily lunch menu, culinary classes and their collaborative Supper Club dinners have been a hit. So much yumminess made with so much love.
